In May 2011, Max Moon suggested I join him and three others on a trip to Cascadia to attend the annual Rainbow Gathering. I agreed and we drove from Philadelphia, PA to the Gifford Pinchot national forest in Washington state. It took five days. We slept in our SUV on the side of the road and took turns driving. Traveling with us was a young Appalachian poet named Carolyn who read us French poetry, shop-lifted food and groceries for us every time we stopped to refuel or stretch our legs, and taught the rest of us how to sing this song.

Recorded Summer of 2012 to 1/8" tape.
